Let's walk around Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Archeology
Map
There is a pond KORIGAIKE which reflects the sky behind the museum. Various wild birds come to the pond and catch a meal. Coypu family also live here.
White water lilies blossom over the surface in summer, Japanese pampas grass and bulrushes sway with the wind on the pond shore in autumn.
What kind of bird or animal do live in the pond?
How many names of them do you know?

Passing by the local museum KYODO SHIRYOKAN, you walk on a path (ex-railroad of BEFU) between the museum and Onaka Iseki Park. You can see a car park with a shack for the club's agriculture.
Next to the park, ramie, indigo and cotton are planted in the field. And ancient rice is planted in the paddy field.
KARAMUSHI (ramie) was used to make a cloth since thousand years ago and is still used to make KIMONO, a small mat or a hat.

You can see Yamanoue sumiyoshi Shrine across the road in the field. YAMA NO UE ISEKI is a part of Onaka Iseki, but because the shrine area belongs to Kakogawa city, they are separated.
There is no regular shrine priest there, but for New Year only it opens and a cup of sake is served for visitors.
