Hyogo Koukogaku Club-4 (Enjoy Archeology)
Hyogo Koukogaku Club members are made up of volunteers who finished the whole trainee course at Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Archeology. It is in Harima Onaka Ancient Village.
The club members assist with workshops , exhibitions, and events held by Hyogo Prefectura Museum of Archeology. The club has 11 groups and two commitees.
Members do various activities related to experimantal archeology. The club publishes a club newsletter every month, and also administrates a club web site. Some groups go on trips to visit remains and historical places
To get a membership: take the whole trainee course from April to November at Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Archeology and apply to the club.
The museum has workshops of ancient crafts at Study Room no.1 every day. Group members support and istruct the crafts for visitors. Volunteers also act as guides for the exhibitions in the museum. English and Chinese are available. Please let us know in advance.
A volunteer will guide you and, if you like, we can arrange to have the workshop in your area.

Mochituki will be coming soon at HYOGO PREFECTURAL ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM.
Mocha means rice squashing with a KINE in a USU and making to a rice cake.

the picture story shows will be held
at 14:00~ every Sunday.
The stories will be related to the theme of the exhibition.

Groups
Group members support Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Archeology, co-operate to run the museum, study archeology in this regional community, and protect histrorical cultural heritage for practical use. Members also have social gatherings in these groups to develop 'hands-on' courses and self-study.
And we have regular events walking around the burial mounds or disappearing old paths. Some of members have presentation of their reserching in the club conference.
